As a board member of PAWS Chicago as well as Oprah Winfrey’s Chicago veterinarian, Dr. Barbara Royal made a live appearance on the Oprah show to present Oprah with her new puppies adopted from PAWS Chicago.

Dr. Royal was interviewed and filmed last year for the Smithsonian Channel's program "Zoo Vets: Claws, Paws and Fins". The segment follows Dr. Royal  as she performs acupuncture on a Brookfield Zoo camel and features an interview on location at The Royal Treatment Veterinary Center.
