Dr. Arielle Herndobler joined the Royal Treatment Veterinary Center team in February 2016. She is excited to combine both holistic and western medical modalities to provide a highly individualized treatment plan for each pet she meets.
From the time she was a little girl, Dr. Arielle wanted to be a veterinarian. She attended high school at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences which is the only working farm in the city of Chicago. She thought it was awesome that several of her classes involved caring for livestock that was kept at the school. She then went on complete both her her undergraduate and veterinary degree from the University of Illinois in Urbana. For the last 6 years, she has worked as an associate veterinarian at a private practice in the suburbs as well as a spay and neuter surgeon at a nonprofit. Along with her DVM degree she is a certified animal chiropractor and acupuncturist.
Dr. Arielle lives in Chicago with her two dogs Louie and Fendi. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors swimming, running, biking or just hanging out at the beach. She is an avid runner and so far has completed 6 half marathons and 1 triathlon. She also loves to travel and in winter of 2014 she spent 6 weeks caring for manatees at a rehabilitation facility in Belize.
