Please Welcome Dr. Lauren Beaird to the Royal Treatment!

Dr. Lauren Beaird & Finn

*UPDATE* – As of July 2019 Dr. Beaird has left the Royal Treatment Veterinary Center.  We wish her continued professional success!

We are excited to announce the addition of Dr. Lauren Beaird as an associate veterinarian at the Royal Treatment Veterinary Center! Dr. Beaird completed both her undergraduate and veterinary medicine degrees at the University of Illinois at Champaign/Urbana and graduated in May of 2015.

She started her career at a progressive small animal veterinary practice in the south suburbs of Chicago. After her own pet was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor at the age of 6, she began exploring alternative ways to promote health and provide healing for pets. Her love for learning and desire to provide a complementary approach to medicine led her into discussions with Dr. Royal about her work and eventually spending time directly observing Dr. Royal in practice. She is excited to accept a full time veterinary position at the Royal Treatment Veterinary Center, and join our passionate, hard working team.

Dr. Beaird is looking forward to growing as an integrative veterinarian and using a holistic approach to veterinary care. She will be seeing patients and working with our experienced doctors as she studies and becomes certified in alternative techniques. She is enrolled at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and will begin her acupuncture training in January of 2019. She has a strong interest in pet nutrition and believes it is the foundation of health and looks forward to helping pets heal through balancing their nutrition and promoting all their causes of health.

Dr. Beaird is the oldest of four girls and in September of 2016 she married her high school sweetheart. They have a dog named Finn, who enjoys stand-up paddle boarding and attempting to catch fish. In her spare time, Dr. Beaird loves to spend as much time as possible outside hiking, running, enjoying the lakeshore, living healthfully and mindfully, spending time at her family’s lake home, and backpacking through our nation’s lovely national and state parks.

Please join us in warmfully welcoming Dr. Beaird to the Royal Treatment family!
