It’s not often that you see a cat so willing to work in water, which makes Barney a very special kitty! Barney has arthritis, is overweight, and has some other health issues managed with acupuncture, conventional medication, herbs, and supplements. As part of Barney’s treatment plan, we’ve introduced her to underwater treadmill therapy. The buoyancy provided by walking in water helps reduce force on Barney’s joints allowing her to exercise, build muscle mass, and lose weight.
