- CareersOwned and operated by Dr. Barbara Royal, DVM, The Royal Treatment is an integrative veterinary practice, combining traditional veterinary services with complementary medicine and rehabilitation–including underwater treadmill therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, herbal and nutritional consultation, holistic medicine, and chronic care. Our practice does not include a surgical suite. We are located on the north side of Chicago, just north of Irving Park Road on the Chicago River. Current Open Positions Veterinary Assistant, Full-Time The Royal Treatment Veterinary Center, an integrative care clinic, is seeking a full-time veterinary assistant/kennel attendant to work 35-40 hours per week. We are looking for a self-motivated team player to join our friendly and highly accomplished staff. Our work environment is very upbeat, a small animal hospital with a high level of personal client interaction. Shifts will include evening and weekend hours. In addition to a love for animals, the right professional will have great communication skills and be able to function effectively while handling multiple simultaneous responsibilities in a fast-moving working environment. Experience at a veterinary clinic, animal shelter or boarding facility preferred. Interest and experience in alternative medicine and veterinary rehabilitation helpful. Responsibilities include: General cleaning of exam rooms, public and employee areas to maintain clean, odor-free, and attractive environment Stocking exam rooms Drying off animals after swims Moving animals from exam room to treatment rooms Answering phones occasionally Filing and pulling patient charts Housekeeping and laundry duties for all areas Weighing animals Light animal restraint Interested candidates should please email a resume with cover letter to careers@royaltreatmentveterinarycenter.com.
