Establishing Care – New Patient Exam

Our independent practice offers a unique integrative approach to veterinary care.  We provide our patients with individualized healthcare for vibrant longevity and work with our clients to maintain excellent communication and support.

Our services include comprehensively assessing the patient’s condition and treatments to develop a wellness plan that can include specific recommendations on nutrition, supplements, pharmaceutical medications, preventive medication, herbal medicines, physical rehabilitation, exercise, behavioral management and therapies like acupuncture, laser, chiropractic treatments, massage, etc. We realize that veterinary care includes the whole family, so our approach involves addressing the needs of our clients as they manage the care of a beloved pet. We pride ourselves on being able to provide practical and effective support for our members. This includes offering education about medical conditions, answering questions to ease anxiety, helping to manage and interpret outside specialty vet consultations or procedures & coordinate treatments, providing guidance in choosing appropriate pet productsworking with financial constraints, physical limitations, or other issues.

At this time our doctors are taking on new patients. Our earliest available new patient appointment at this time is usually 2-3 months from now.

As a new client at your initial exam at RTVC, you will find that we take the time to answer questions, discuss and examine the condition of your pet, evaluate medical records and previous medications/treatments and begin our integrative plan for your pet’s health. Any additional testing, diagnostic procedures or treatments will be explained and discussed.

We will offer guidance on appropriate nutrition, supplement, medications, treatments & appropriate therapies as needed for your pet’s condition

We will also provide information on our Wellness Membership Plans to help you decide which plan works best for your family.

As a Concierge model practiceour clients are required to pay an annual membership fee to maintain access to our services.  This fee helps us to support our doctors’ ability to take the time needed for each patient, and maintain an excellent and well educated staff. We believe that the community and connectedness we have with our members improves the medicine and outcomes for our patients.  We recognize that this is different from other vet practices, but we believe we are different and we think you’ll find it’s worth it.

Our New Patient Exam Consultations are not short – they can last from 1 hour to 2+ hoursYour technicians and your doctor will diligently evaluate and discuss all aspects of veterinary care for the patient.

The fee for this Initial Appointment INCLUDES both the Initial Appointment and a Recheck Appointment with the doctor and is $400. (The recheck appointment must be completed within 6 weeks of the initial visit.)

We do require a $100 deposit per pet to hold an appointment which will be applied to your balance on the day of your appointment. The deposit is fully refundable as long as you cancel or reschedule up to 24 hours prior to your appointment.

We do note that the exam/consultation fee does not include additional services like lab work, diagnostics, medications/supplements if neededThese will be discussed for your approval, and an estimate for additional services can be provided prior to approval.

Wellness Plans

We offer two types of Annual Wellness Memberships.  A Wellness Membership is required after the initial exam in order to continue as a client of the Royal Treatment Veterinary Center.  Both Wellness Membership plans allow you to enjoy the excellent integrative services of RTVC and do not affect the level of medical care.

  • Our Standard Wellness Membership which is a $300 annual membership fee for the whole family
  • Our Extended Wellness Membership ($2000 annually for the primary pet) offers additional amenities like discounts on certain services and products and additional availability for appointment/consultation time with doctors.

We can email further information about our membership options if needed after your initial appointment.

We can be reached by phone for scheduling at either location –
