Stella & Chewy’s Recall – Listeria Risk

On December 10th, Stella & Chewy’s began voluntarily recalling four products sold in the USA and Canada due to the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.  The recall was prompted by a positive test for Listeria during routine quality testing by the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.  Full information regarding the voluntary recall can be found on the Stella & Chewy’s company website.  As a precautionary measure, Stella & Chewy’s is voluntarily recalling all products from Lot #165-15.  These products include:

 

Frozen Stella & Chewy’s Super Beef Dinner Morsels for Dogs, 8.5 oz., UPC # 186011001554, Lot # 165-15, Use by 6/25/2016

Frozen Stella & Chewy’s Super Beef Dinner Morsels for Dogs, 4 lb., UPC # 186011001370, Lot # 165-15, Use by 6/25/2016 & 6/26/2016

Frozen Stella & Chewy’s Duck Duck Goose Dinner Morsels for Cats, 1.25 lb., UPC # 186011001455, Lot # 165-15, Use by 6/25/2016

 

While the product listed below has not tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes, Stella & Chewy’s is also recalling it due to possible contact with the affected lot:
