Journal Shows Importance of Complementary & Alternative Care

EJHEAn article in The European Journal of Health Economics, Volume 13, Issue 6, December 2012 showed that patients whose General Practitioner knew additional complementary and alternative medicine modalities like acupuncture and homeopathy spent less on healthcare and lived longer!

Patients had up to 30% lower healthcare costs and decreased mortality rates, depending on the age groups and modalities used.  The lower healthcare costs were a result of fewer hospital stays and fewer prescription drugs.
